However there were a number of Afrikaans speaking classes. The children in the Afrikaans speaking classes were white and the school conducted a separate concert for the Afrikaans classes. Black parents had complained about the segregated concert and the story was picked up by eNCA.  The eNCA journalist interviewed the headmaster and he stated that holding the concert for the Afrikaans speaking parents separately was a ‘huge mistake’. The journalist interviewed the headmaster of the school and reflected his responses. Consequently the journalist was found to have fulfilled her obligation and there was no violation of the code.
