The Complainant averred that the Respondent broadcaster in effect combined two clips to create the televisionimpression that people were praying at a political meeting addressed by the Deputy President of the African National Congress, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa. The viewing of the material at the hearing of the matter clearly demonstrated that this was not the case. A man with clearly identifiable clothing was shown to have been part of the audience in both instances, and in both he was sitting in the same place.

The Complaint was not upheld.
