The complainant filed a complaint with the BCCSA alleging that a programme which was broadcast
on SABC3 about pro-life movements in the USA was biased and implied that Pro Life South Africa would, as the pro life movement in the USA, resort to violence to get their viewpoint on abortion across.
The BCCSA held that it was stated clearly that the programme dealt with pro life movements in the USA and not in South Africa. As the programme dealt with pro life movements and not with the issue of abortion per se, it was not necessary to give Pro Life South Africa an opportunity to state their viewpoint. The complaint is dismissed.
