radioA complaint was lodged based on the fact that a person who had hi-jacked an aeroplane and was known as an extremist was permitted to take part in a broadcast and that there had also not been sufficient criticism of her acts in the programme as broadcast.

Held: that the mere choice of such a person as part of a panel did not amount to a contravention to the Code and that the discussion did not, in any case, contravene the Code. In essence, such broadcasts, if bona fide and in the public interest, are exempted from the Code. The broadcast was held to have remained within the ambit of the said exemption.

 The Complaint was not upheld.
