The Tribunal held that a joke made during a broadcast – which was regarded as obnoxious by one radiocomplainant and blasphemous by the second complainant – was indeed offensive. This finding was, however, not sufficient for a finding of hate speech, which requires advocacy of hatred and incitement to harm.

The complaints were not upheld.
