Insensitive comment implying violence in addressing demonstrations in a living area regarded as radiounacceptable. However, since these kind of comments have become part and parcel of the programme presented by Mr. Cliff, we have decided, in this case, not to burden the SABC with a contravention. However, this decision should be regarded as a caution that steps should be taken by the SABC to ensure that insensitive and unfair comments, such as the remarks presently under consideration, should not be broadcast. The situation in Diepsloot was a  volatile one and great care should have been taken in commenting on such a situation. Such care was absent in this broadcast.
