Complaint of words being indecent or obscene when used in a radio news bulletin in the afternoon. Tribunal finds, as it has done in the past, that radio broadcasting has far less impact on listeners than television broadcasting has on viewers. Tribunal also finding that children not a substantial part of the audience during radio news broadcasting. In the light of these two important considerations, words in this context found not to be indecent or obscene. Complaint not upheld. Stoffberg v SABC (RSG).
