Complaints were received about graphic scenes in a news item of the body of a woman found in the televisionboot of a car. The visuals accompanying the news item showed close visuals of the feet and legs of the dead woman and the visuals ended with the showing of an investigator callously throwing his gloves in the direction of the corpse.  These scenes were found to be too graphic. Clause 34.7 of the Code of Conduct requires that a warning be given to viewers when broadcasting graphic reporting on delicate subject-matter.  No warning was given and the Tribunal found that Respondent contravened clause 34.7 of the Code.  In the result the complaints were upheld.
