The complainant complained that he had stated when calling in to Radio 702 that he had two points which he wished to make. He was, however, cut off after the first point had been made. The Tribunal concluded that Talk Radio should not be judged as if it were a newscast or a commentary programme. There is usually a long row of listeners queuing to be afforded the opportunity to take part in the debate. The presenter and producer would do their best to accommodate as many of those callers as possible. We do not believe that the complainant was dealt with in an unfair manner. He had an opportunity to communicate the first point and we believe that the first point was, in any case, put over well and was, in itself, a point which could stand on its own. The complaint was dismissed.
