The Television broadcaster, e-tv, broadcast a dance and music video during what is televisionregarded as children’s time. A viewer complained that a programme for younger children Teletubbbies, was interspersed by a music video with suggestive language and body movements.

The Commission held that the dances would be slightly provocative to teenagers and probably boring for mature viewers.  For younger pre-teens, the dances would likely give rise to rhythm and dance and any sexuality or provocative poses would go unnoticed. The dancers were not dressed indecently and the language did not contain anything that could be regarded as indecent or obscene. The accent was on the rhythm and dance.

The Complaint was not upheld.
