Doctor complaining that during talk show on Radio 702, with Botox treatment as subject, the presenter remarked radiothat the “Medical Aids Schemes are run by drop-out doctors who cannot make it elsewhere”. Commission holding, that the words were so sweeping that they would not have been taken seriously as defaming doctors working at or advising Medical Aids Schemes. It was simply throwaway phrase and, although those involved would understandably be perturbed, no other reasonable listener would take the words seriously. They are so obviously incorrect and sweeping in their nature that they are almost meaningless. Complaint not upheld.
