Presenter on talk show two weeks before Christmas, alleged to have said, during debate with caller on the principles which underpin Christianity, “Go to hell Christian”; second complaint that presenter should not have the right to present his own views that the miracles to which the Bible refers are not based on truth and that Jesus was not the Son of God etc.
BCCSA holding that presenter had the right to do so as long as the talk show was balanced within the framework of a talk show and that insofar as the alleged “go to hell Christian” was concerned, that the presenter did not use the expression and that the BCCSA expressed no opinion as to whether that would have been unacceptable. Complaints dismissed.
