Case No - 44-2006 - Metro FM - Hate Speech PDF Print Email

Metro FM - The use of the Traditional Muslim Greeting by Presenter

Religion and Race - inclusion of the Muslim greeting “ AS-Salaam-u-Alaikum” not amounting to the advocacy of hatred based on religion or race.  If offensive material was often repeated to the extent that it amounted to the mocking of believers’ religious convictions, it could, when judged in context, be evidence of the advocacy of hatred.
